Born in Dalton, Georgia, Wright received his Bachelor of Arts degree from UGA in Athens, GA in 2000. He is currently working towards his Master of Divinity degree at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary at the extension in Decatur, Georgia.

Wright is a youth ministry veteran serving two years as a missionary in East Athens, three years at Walker Baptist in Monroe, and six years at Summit Baptist in Loganville. He has been a dean at IMPACT for four years, working closely with the GA Baptist Youth Evangelism department and some of the finest youth ministers in the state of Georgia.

He and his wife, Kristie, have two beautiful daughters, Lauren & Grayson, and a baby boy on the way.
